YASC Convenant :

We covenant together to build and promote Young Adult growth and leadership in the CMwD. We covenant to uphold and follow UU Principles and Purposes in our meetings, conversations, and events. We covenant to support each other in times of joy and sorrow, and move in a manner that affirms our individual faith journeys, and those of the Young Adults we serve.

District Representative Job Description

District Focused

~Plan and facilitate meetings and conference business meetings
~Provide support to all members of committee
~Attend district and continental events as possible
~Split up roles and responsibilities effectively, be able to delegate tasks to other committee members
~Attend leadership and YA/CM trainings if possible [and encourage others to attend]
~Be well-informed of district events / structures
~Work directly with YaYA Coordinator, district staff and district board

~Write articles and reports regarding the Young Adult Network
~Maintain updated district brochure
~Attend District Annual Assembly

Continental Focused

~Attend ConCentric [General Assembly and Opus if possible]

~Active role as governing body at ConCentric

~Coming early for ConCentric consensus training, district representative meeting

~Role in ConCentric plenary: making decisions that are best for the districts

~Serve as a conduit between CUUYAN, YA/CM office and YASC; disseminate CUUYAN information

~Facilitate local and district leaders in developing networks of young adults that foster spiritual communities that celebrate UU values

~Networking with the ROC and other district reps in the region
Central Region = Mountain Desert, Heartland, Prairie Star & Central Midwest

~Keep track of what's going on in the UU YA world at a continental level [being on continental mailing lists, etc.], and then bringing that stuff to the district.

~Be well-informed of continental events / structures
